I usually don’t do video game humor because I find it just too easy and I like to try to challenge myself with every comic I do. But one every once in a while isn’t a problem. Not to mention I just got Breath of the Wild and it’s freaking amazing so far. So there’s that.
I saw The Last Jedi last night. Good. Not great. Probably on par with RotJ in terms of quality and story. Brilliant at times and eye rolling at others. Some really stunning visuals and some really lackluster ones. Heavy handed with its symbolism and a bit too loose with its dialogue. It had some very quippy Marvel movie type lines which did not match neither the universe nor the gravitas of the situation. When is succeeds it does so fairly brilliantly but it also fumbles. A lot. So- better than the prequels, Rogue One, and TFA but falls very short of original and Empire. Had several very prequel feeling scenes, rushed or nonexistent character arcs, and some unintentional comedy moments which are never a good sign. Needed maybe another month or so in the editing room but I think it is one of the more successful SW movies.
