Happy birthday to my son. I love you, buddy. I was worried because you were such a monster when you came home. I couldn’t sleep and you wouldn’t stop screaming. You came into this world with a head cold, runny nose, sore throat, the whole nine yards. Even nowadays you can be quite a hellion. But I love you. I love your smile. I love your laugh. I love to feel your hand wrapped around my finger. You’re learning so quickly and growing so fast. I can only hope you grow into the kind hearted protector I know you can be.
