Lightbox Expo was fun and stressful and eye opening and it lit a fire under me to really get published as a real comic artist. I mean, not to say that webcomic artists AREN’T legitimate comic artists but I don’t see myself as one. It’s not Impostor Syndrome…okay it’s not ONLY Impostor Syndrome. But I feel like I could be doing more as an artist. Telling more stories. Making better art. I don’t know. I just feel like I’m not living up to the artist and storyteller I could be with Ninja and Pirate. I think after this story chapter wraps up I may take a small hiatus to keep working on other stuff. I don’t want to stop Ninja and Pirate because I have a following, however small, of fairly dedicated fans and I don’t want to let them down. But, I mean, we’ll see how things go. I just know I could be doing more than cartoony fart jokes.
And I love cartoony fart jokes.
