Look, I’m not advocating for the slaughter of the capitalist oligarchs who run our society. I’m just saying that in France, if you are fired due to corporate downsizing legally you have to be placed on ‘Garden Leave’ for a month, paid, and the company has to prove they aren’t replacing you in the near future and it is a legitimate downsizing in which the employees can’t be reassigned and keep their jobs. If the company is found fraudulent at any point in the process they have to pay the dismissed worker a year of salary. And also that France had guillotines.
