STARTING NOW NINJA AND PIRATE WILL BE ON TWICE A WEEK!! NEXT COMIC WILL BE UP AND AT ‘EM AT THIS BAT-TIME THIS BAT-SATURDAY!! WHICH WILL NOW BE KNOWN AS BATURDAY!
So wow. I’m probably gonna be getting less and less sleep making this comic for you guys but as long as people are enjoying it then it’ll keep getting made. It may be a bit rough at first but I’m gonna do my best to keep it going for you all. I hope it goes well.
Now then, on to business! My good buddy Stephen has a super fun comic called Raindogs that I’ve now done TWO guest strips for! It’s good because it lets me get Ninja and Pirate out there for more to see and it’s good for him because if he lets me post guest strips I loosen his shackles a little. This time the scamp almost got free. Almost. Anyway, here are the links for you. But remember, Raindogs is not exactly family friendly due to some language so if you’re not at least in High School, you probably won’t enjoy it. It’s worth the read for everyone else though. By far one of the best comics out there.
Furthermore, another amazingly original and award-winning comic by industry writer Madeleine Holly-Rosing invited me to do some guest work for her astonishing comic The Boston Metaphysical Society. It’s not up yet but hopefully it will be soon. Their comic also runs a “Teen” rating but is also incredibly worth it. It’s a steampunk blast and it also has some seriously spooky moments so check that out too!
In case you missed it, the fine folks at Panda Manga did an awesome podcast and Ninja and Pirate are mentioned and talked about! They had some great advice and said some super kind things too. So that was totally awesome. You should check them out because they do some great work bringing light to many a great indie comic like mine. Totally worth listening to.
So anyway, Dallas Comic-Con was super fun and super exhausting. I did some really fun work for some folks including about four different Thanos drawings, a Black Widow for an awesome Natasha Romanoff cosplayer, a Yoda for a super cool local guy (who also comissioned a full blown portrait of him too!), an Ood AND a Silence, and a Beta-Ray Bill were among some of my favorites. If any one of those folks who got those drawings is reading this, I hope you are enjoying them! I had a great time making them for you. My wife is also now my official colorist and she did some incredible work on them too. I’m always open for commissions, so just give me an email at ninja_pirate_comic@yahoo.com or send me a tweet at my Twitter handle @ninjaandpirate. Anything you want!
Anyway, I’ve got to get going. I hope you guys enjoy this comic and Saturday’s too! I’ll see you then! You can always let me know what you think! Thanks for not stopping in the spreading of word about Ninja and Pirate! I couldn’t do this without all of you!
