I feel like I had a lot of the scene and “emo” interests without actually being either of these? Because of my older sister I got into screamo and death metal, and because of my “scene” friends I got into the niche-not-niche shows and other interests, and I just genuinely enjoyed them lol. The only time I pressed it on other people was with the music – but I was also your traditional little church girl, so it was fun having people assume I was listening to country or classical music until they put on my head phones (still kind of is, to be honest, although I’ve toned it down to heavy metal and 80s rock).
